Dispute Process
PIMS aims to resolve disputes fairly and efficiently.
The process prioritises mediation, with adjudication used where agreement cannot be reached.
1
Complaint Submitted
A complaint is submitted against an active PIMS member using the PIMS complaint form.
2
Case Review
PIMS reviews the submission to determine whether the dispute falls within scope.
3
Mediation
PIMS facilitates mediation by email. Both parties may share their position and provide relevant supporting information. If agreement is reached, the case is resolved and closed.
4
Adjudication
If mediation does not resolve the dispute, or a party fails to engage, the case may proceed to adjudication. The adjudicator will review the information and evidence submitted during the case and issue a decision.
5
Resolution
The outcome of mediation or adjudication becomes the formal resolution of the case.
